Indian Medical Devices Industry

Indian medical devices industry is worth USD 10 Bn (2019) and is expected to grow to USD 50 Bn by 2025. Total exports from India reached USD 2.1 Bn in 2018-19. However, exports to Russia were only worth USD 25 million USD in 2019-20. Russian market in medical equipment is worth more than USD 4.5 Bn. Thus, the sector emerges as a strong candidate to further strengthen the existing robust relationship in pharmaceuticals sector.

In light of the special focus placed on the healthcare sector due to the ongoing epidemiological situation, Embassy of India in collaboration with Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) organized webinar titled ‘Medical Devices sector: Challenges & Emerging Opportunities in midst of COVID-19’ on July 22, 2020. The webinar received a tremendous response evidenced by the participation of close to 170 companies and agencies from both sides.

A B2B interactive virtual session to ensure direct company-to-company negotiations will be organized soon.
