Vishwa Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the Embassy of India in Moscow on 12 February 2019 with the participation of more than 100 members of the Indian community in Russia, students of the India Club and Hindi students of the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center. Ambassador Venkatesh Varma addressed the gathering and read the Prime Minister’s message on the occasion. Hindi students from Russian schools and universities put up a cultural show with dance and music performances, poetry recitals and sharing of their experiences of learning Hindi. A quiz on Hindi vocabulary and grammar was also conducted for the audience.
