The Ambassador inaugurated the evening and addressed the audience, which consisted of Hindi scholars in Russia, young students of Hindi from leading Russian universities and students of the Embassy of India school. The cultural presentation consisting of original plays and poetry in Hindi was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and his teachings. It's interesting to know that in 2010s around 6500 residents of Russia confirmed their knowledge of Hindi!
